Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Synapli ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Synapli. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the AI tutor to generate illegal, harmful, hateful, or sexually explicit content involving minors.
  • Upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, payment, or security controls.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service.
  • Use the service to spam, harass, or defraud others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. AI-generated content

Tutor responses, generated flashcards, and answer grades are produced by AI models and may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. You should independently verify anything important. Synapli is a study aid, not a substitute for professional or academic advice.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the notes, decks, drawings, and other content you create. You grant Synapli a limited license to store, transmit, and display that content solely to operate the service for you. You can delete your content at any time.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Synapli Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can cancel at any time from the in-app cancel page; you will retain Pro access until the end of the current paid period.

Payments are processed by Stripe via RevenueCat. Prices may change with notice; existing subscriptions are not affected mid-term.

8. Refunds

Except where required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable. If you purchased through the Apple App Store, refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. On termination, your study content may be deleted after a reasonable period.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synapli and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid in the prior 12 months.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
